The Mechanical Engineer will be a valued member of our team working with the Project Engineer and Plant Manager assigned to develop and optimize equipment design then follow the design through implementation. Projects range from major building erections and equipment installations to small hardware/software installations/replacements on manufacturing systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
● Design and engineering of plant and equipment improvements.
● Work with the other teams (production / maintenance) to schedule and manage projects.
● Document and compile drawings and information for existing plant equipment.
● Work with the Project Engineer to design and implement new forms or systems as needed to produce new products or modify existing equipment.
● Understanding and implementing designs from technical drawings
● Understanding of industrial electrical and hydraulic systems.
● Understanding of industrial automation and electronic fundamentals.
● Be creative and problem solve where needed
● Strong attention to detail with the ability to ensure accuracy and consistency in all tasks
● Proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues
● Promotes the company culture, mission, vision, core values and safety of the company
Education and/or Experience
● Experience with selecting and specifying industrial equipment and components preferred
● Experience with managing projects
● Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field
● Five years prior industrial manufacturing and design/installation experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
● Proficient with Solidworks preferred, AutoCAD and other CAD software experience accepted.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Experience working in a production/manufacturing environment. Hands on engineers with mechanical experience.- We are looking for someone who doesn't mind getting dirty. In other words, they are active on the plant floor, not just working at or behind a desk.
- We also would like them to have experience managing projects, as well as selecting and specifying industrial equipment and components.

401K?: YES, full-time employee are eligible to participate in the company’s 401(k) plan the first of the month following 60 days of employment. Auto enrollment of 6% will occur in defaulted funs unless the employee chooses to opto ut or enroll at a different level.
