Skills
- CAD modeling and tooling design
- Experience in a CAD PLM environment
- Knowledge of molded rubber, carbon phenolic parts, filament winding, and composites
- Hands-on fabrication, machining, or build experience
- Process documentation and work instruction writing
- Ability to develop and execute test plans and analyze test data
- Collaboration in fast-paced, multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with systems and design engineers to implement design for manufacturability
- Design and oversee manufacture of tooling for molded insulation parts
- Write work instructions for filament winding, hand layup molding, hydraulic press molding, machining, and assembly
- Identify, document, and drive closure of non-conformances
- Partner with Materials & Processes engineers to develop new materials/processes, create and execute test plans, and analyze results
- Develop process specifications and test campaigns to standardize manufacturing processes
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar
