Senior Controls Engineer, Manufacturing Automation
Skills
- Proven PLC programming experience on Allen-Bradley systems
- Proficiency in Ignition SCADA development and HMI design
- Experience with Fanuc robot programming and troubleshooting
- Experience commissioning automation in a production/manufacturing environment
- Familiarity integrating automation with MES and QMS (preferred)
- Ability to work night shift and support on-site commissioning
- Must be a U.S. Person with eligibility for export-controlled access
Responsibilities
- Own controls engineering for production equipment on night shift (approx. 3:30PM–12AM)
- Support commissioning, startup, and process development for PLCs, HMIs, robots, conveyors, and other automation equipment
- Program, debug, and maintain Allen-Bradley PLCs and Ignition SCADA systems
- Program and troubleshoot Fanuc robots and integrate robotic cells into production lines
- Integrate internal FactoryOS and third-party software with automation equipment and production lines
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve uptime and long-term reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce downtime and drive continuous improvement
- Document controls designs, procedures, and change history; ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering (required)
- Advanced degree in a related field (preferred)
