- Aerospace vehicle dynamics and system integration knowledge
- Experience producing and maintaining weight statements and mass distribution analyses
- Hands‑on measurement and verification of component and vehicle mass properties
- Familiarity with mass properties tools and tooling for weight & balance control
- Ability to run configuration trade studies and assess impacts of design changes
- Solid technical communication and cross‑discipline collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain mass properties data (weight, CG, inertia) for air vehicle and subsystems
- Create and track detailed weight statements and mass distribution analyses throughout design phases
- Estimate, calculate, measure, and verify weight, balance, and inertia of components, assemblies, and complete vehicles
- Support weight and balance control and provide configuration trade study guidance
- Participate in defining mass‑properties design requirements and generating formal reports
- Contribute to development and maintenance of mass properties accounting systems and tools
- Implement and improve processes and tools for mass properties management
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Physics, or related technical discipline
- Relevant coursework or practical experience in vehicle dynamics and mass properties
