Senior Space Vehicle Electrical Integration and Test Engineer
Skills
- Experience leading satellite or space vehicle I&T campaigns (avionics, power systems, harness wiring).
- Hands-on environmental testing experience (TVAC, shock, vibration, EMI/EMC, acoustics).
- Proficiency in Python for test automation, diagnostics, and scripting.
- Familiarity with radio and bus electronics test equipment and racks.
- Strong troubleshooting and anomaly resolution skills during integration and test.
- Experience with MES/ERP/MRP systems for tracking integration tasks.
- Experience working with or ability to obtain security clearance and perform keying operations.
- Ability to coordinate across cross-functional engineering teams and manage schedules.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end integration and test (I&T) campaigns for space vehicles, focusing on avionics, power payloads, and harness wiring.
- Develop and implement integration and test plans, procedures, and operational workflows.
- Manage I&T schedules and timelines to meet project deliverables and launch readiness.
- Diagnose, document, and resolve anomalies and non-conformances encountered during integration and testing.
- Plan and conduct environmental test campaigns including TVAC, shock, vibration, EMI/EMC, and acoustics.
- Develop, modify, and execute Python-based test scripts for automation, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
- Operate, configure, and maintain test equipment such as radio test racks and bus control test racks.
- Collaborate with systems, thermal, mechanical, electrical, firmware, and software engineers to ensure integration success.
- Contribute to refinement and scaling of I&T processes and documentation for the Space AI&T team.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field (required).
- Advanced degree (MS) in a relevant field is a plus.
