Senior Space Vehicle EO/IR Integration and Test Engineer
Skills
- 8+ years in space/satellite manufacturing, systems engineering, or EO/IR hardware integration and test
- Hands-on experience with TVAC, shock, vibration, EMI/EMC, and acoustics testing
- Proficiency in Python for test automation, diagnostics, and data processing
- Experience with optical test equipment (collimators, integrating spheres, interferometers, laser trackers)
- Familiarity with MES/ERP/MRP systems to track integration tasks and hardware build status
- Ability to work with classified systems or obtain security clearance
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end integration and test (I&T) campaigns for space vehicles with emphasis on EO/IR payloads
- Develop and implement integration and test plans, procedures, and operational checklists
- Manage I&T schedules and coordinate cross-functional teams to meet project deliverables
- Diagnose, document, and resolve anomalies and non-conformances during integration and testing
- Plan and execute environmental test campaigns including TVAC, shock, vibration, EMI/EMC, and acoustics
- Develop and modify test scripts and automation for diagnostics and data collection
- Operate and maintain test equipment (bus control racks, collimators, integrating spheres, trackers, interferometers)
- Contribute to process improvements and scaling of I&T practices for multiple satellites
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or similar required
- Advanced degree (MS) in a related field preferred but not required
