- 5+ years systems engineering, integration, and test or platform architecture experience
- Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, software engineering, and control theory concepts
- Electronics troubleshooting and use of basic test equipment
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- Experience defining and documenting requirements and success criteria
- Field test and operationally focused experience, including nearshore and sea operations
- Ability to travel ~25% with potential surges; authorized to work in the U.S.
Responsibilities
- Provide full life-cycle systems engineering support across multidisciplinary teams, including requirements generation, analysis, and verification
- Design and integrate subsystems (sensors, navigation, propulsion, comms, autonomy software, power) into complete AUV platforms
- Lead design reviews and ensure compliance with project goals and industry standards
- Develop and execute integration, verification, and acceptance test plans; support test & evaluation efforts
- Serve as technical lead for troubleshooting, field repairs, and multi-day sea operations
- Maintain configuration control, versioning, documentation, and safety compliance throughout development and testing
- Support program planning, risk management, and proposal technical content for DoD and commercial efforts
- Collaborate with external partners and customers to integrate payloads and satisfy mission lifecycle requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, aerospace, systems) or related field preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience accepted
