Software Engineer
Skills
- 4+ years building production-grade software
- Proficiency in object-oriented languages (Java, Scala, Kotlin, or Ruby on Rails)
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design
- Solid command of relational databases and SQL
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with observability tools (New Relic, metrics, tracing) and CI/CD
- Experience or interest in applying LLMs / AI to product features
- Strong Git workflow and testing-first development practices
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and review full-stack code that meets performance, reliability, security, and testability standards.
- Contribute to system and API architecture discussions and translate product requirements into scalable technical designs.
- Develop and maintain robust automated tests and monitoring to ensure fast, reliable deployments.
- Build and iterate on LLM-powered features and partnership integrations that drive new product directions.
- Communicate technical tradeoffs and progress clearly across product, partnerships, and engineering stakeholders.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and help refine team processes and engineering practices.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Comfortable working remotely and aligning with an eastern time zone team schedule
