Head of Communications

Carta is a leading private markets software company building an end-to-end ERP for private capital, trusted by tens of thousands of companies and funds globally. The Head of Communications will steward Carta’s public narrative, lead global PR and internal communications, manage agency partners, and elevate executive and product visibility across fintech and private markets audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute global PR strategy to elevate Carta as the ERP for private capital across US, EU and AMEA.
  • Manage and coordinate external PR agencies and speaker bureau partners to maximize media and speaking impact.
  • Craft high-impact narratives that communicate product innovation, AI/fintech leadership, and market differentiation.
  • Lead internal communications for company-wide initiatives, rollouts, and key organizational moments in partnership with People and marketing teams.
  • Run integrated communications campaigns highlighting product launches, acquisitions, partnerships, data insights, and customer stories.
  • Advance executive thought leadership through bylines, speaking opportunities, award submissions and media engagements.
  • Cultivate relationships with business, finance, tech and policy press, analysts, and industry influencers.
  • Partner cross-functionally with legal, finance, product, Corporate Development and marketing to ensure consistent, accurate messaging.
  • Support crisis communications preparedness and execution alongside Legal and agency partners.
  • Measure and report communications impact to ladder comms into business and marketing goals.

Education

  • BA required (or equivalent experience)
