- End-to-end circuit design and component selection for power electronics
- Experience with CAD (Altium preferred) and simulation tools (MATLAB/Simulink, SPICE)
- Hands-on test equipment proficiency (oscilloscopes, power supplies, spectrum/logic analyzers, probes, clamps)
- Fluent in CAN bus protocols (J1939, CANopen) and other low-voltage networking
- Familiarity with MIL-STD/DO-160 or similar automotive/defense/aerospace standards
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
Responsibilities
- Design schematics, PCB layouts, and circuit architectures for low- and high-voltage power electronics integrated with energy storage and management systems
- Perform circuit simulations, bench testing, and system-level validation to meet MIL-STD and other defense/aerospace standards
- Integrate electrical designs with mechanical, thermal, software, and systems engineering teams to achieve cohesive product function
- Implement reliability and ruggedization practices including EMI/EMC mitigation and thermal management
- Create technical documentation, test plans, and compliance reports
- Support products through lifecycle from concept to field deployment and sustainment
Education
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or related degree (required)
- Relevant coursework or practical experience in power electronics, embedded systems, and reliability engineering
