Registered Nurse (RN) - Urgent Care

ConvenientMD is a New England-focused urgent care provider committed to making healthcare more convenient and patient-centered. They are hiring a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for their Quincy, MA clinic to perform patient triage, clinical procedures, medication and immunization administration, and collaborate with the clinical team in a fast-paced urgent care environment.

Skills

  • State RN license and ability to practice in Massachusetts
  • Proven IV placement and phlebotomy skills
  • BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross) - in-person required
  • Ability to perform ECGs, CPR, and AED use
  • Medication and immunization administration competency
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Comfort using EMR/business systems (Experity preferred) and MS Office
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to travel up to one hour to other clinic locations for shifts/training

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient triage: take vitals, document history, and perform observational exams to identify acute needs
  • Prepare for and assist providers during patient exams, tests, and procedures
  • Perform phlebotomy and blood draws, following safety and infection-control protocols
  • Provide airway management (nebulizers, suctioning, airway placement), oxygen therapy, and AMBU bag ventilation as needed
  • Apply 12-lead ECGs, perform CPR, and operate AEDs in cardiac events
  • Administer medications and immunizations per RN scope and clinic protocols
  • Process and call in prescriptions to patient-requested pharmacies following provider instructions
  • Handle patient follow-up calls, explain results, and review care plans and medication changes
  • Communicate patient information clearly with providers and clinical team members
  • Support onboarding and training of new clinic team members

Education

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Current, active RN license in Massachusetts
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification (in-person)
