This role oversees the entire asset lifecycle, from design and commissioning to maintenance and decommissioning, ensuring compliance with global standards while prioritizing cost-effectiveness.
Collaboration with regionalteams, engineering, operational units, maintenance crews, and digital technology specialists enhances asset performance and reduces risks. This collective effort ensures that assets meetcurrent demands and are prepared for future challenges.
The Role:
Strategy & Governance-
Develop a global strategy for asset integrity and lifecycle management, with clear standards and governance for effective oversight.
Implement lifecycle risk management policies across all asset stages—design, inspection, maintenance, and end-of-life—to mitigate risks and enhance performance.
Ensure compliance with global regulations and industry standards while integrating practices into safety management systems to foster a culture of safety.
Conduct maturity assessments of asset integrity and reliability, creating continuous improvement roadmaps for enhancing these areas over time.
Performance & Reliability Optimization-
Establish comprehensive global KPI frameworks that specifically focus on three critical areas: availability, maintainability, and lifecycle performance.
These frameworks will serve as a foundation for measuring and enhancing asset management effectiveness across the organization.
In addition, conduct thorough benchmarking of asset performance on a global scale to identify areas of improvement.
This process will also facilitate the widespread adoption of industry best practices across different business units, ensuring that all teams are aligned and working towards optimizing asset efficiency and reliability.
Compliance, Risk & Assurance-
Ensure that all operations are fully compliant with relevant global regulatory requirements, industry standards such as ISO 55000, API, and ASME, as well as internal company policies governing asset integrity and lifecycle management.
Take charge of comprehensive risk assessment processes, which encompass conducting in-depth hazard studies, performing failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and executing thorough integrity risk reviews to identify potential vulnerabilities.
Provide support for both internal and external audits focused on asset integrity and lifecycle management, ensuring that all findings are meticulously documented and addressed in accordance with best practices and compliance mandates.
Leadership & Stakeholder Collaboration -
Collaborate with regional operations, engineering, HSE, supply chain, project engineering, and finance for cohesive lifecycle planning of assets.
Lead global and regional asset integrity teams, fostering a culture of safety and reliability in all activities.
Represent asset integrity in corporate risk committees and project evaluations, ensuring our priorities are integrated into strategic decisions.
Asset Lifecycle Management -
Manage the planning of asset lifecycles from acquisition to decommissioning.
This includes overseeing the commissioning of new assets, optimizing their performance, extending the life of existing assets, and ensuring safe decommissioning.
Implement standardized methods for condition assessments, life-extension studies, and asset classification to evaluate risks and opportunities accurately.
Ensure capital planning includes lifecycle cost analysis (LCCA) for informed financial decisions, focusing on long-term reliability and sustainability.
Digital Transformation & Data Management-
Drive adoption of digital tools such as APM (Asset Performance Management) systems, CMMS/EAM platforms, predictive analytics, and IoT monitoring.
Oversee global asset data standards, taxonomy, and data governance.
Partner with analytics teams to implement predictive maintenance, condition monitoring, and digital integrity models.
