CyberArk is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Machine Identity Security team, focused on backend systems and platform integrations. In this role, you will design and build scalable backend services that support certificate lifecycle management and secure machine identity at scale.

You will work on distributed systems, APIs, and integrations that power high-throughput, reliable cloud services, partnering closely with platform and product teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services and APIs for the Machine Identity Security platform
• Contribute to backend architecture and system design, focusing on performance, scalability, and reliability
• Build integrations and tooling that support platform extensibility, including APIs, SDKs, and system-to-system integrations
• Develop and operate distributed systems supporting high-scale, multi-tenant environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including platform, security, and infrastructure to deliver backend capabilities
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across distributed services
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation
• Participate in a shared on-call rotation to support production systems, ensuring high availability, timely incident response, and overall service reliability

#LI-HA

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on backend engineering.
• Proven experience building modern, scalable backend or distributed systems.
• Experience with AI-first development.
• Strong proficiency with Golang, Java, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of x509, PKI, and certificate issuance protocols is a strong plus.
• Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, high performance engineering environment.

The salary range for this position is $116,000 – $182,000/year, plus commissions or discretionary bonus, which will be based on the employee’s performance. Base pay may also vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits.
