Manager, Quality Engineering

DNSFilter is a fast-growing SaaS company focused on network security and AI-driven threat intelligence. We are seeking a hands-on Manager of Quality Engineering to lead a 7+ person QE team, collaborate with product and engineering leaders, and drive quality, test automation, and release practices across our distributed, scalable product ecosystem.

Skills

Proven QE management experience
Test automation (UI and API) and automation frameworks
CI/CD pipelines and release engineering
Source control (GitLab/GitHub)
Agile methodologies (Scrum & Kanban)
Experience with scalable, resilient, distributed applications
Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android testing knowledge
JIRA for planning and tracking
Familiarity with AI tooling to boost QE productivity
Strong cross-functional communication and stakeholder management

Responsibilities

Manage and mentor a team of 7+ quality engineers, providing coaching, feedback, and career development
Coordinate with product scrum teams to manage backlogs, sprints, and timely deliveries in a lean agile environment
Define and drive QE strategy, test plans, and release management across distributed systems
Implement and maintain scalable test automation (UI and API) and CI/CD integration
Collaborate closely with Engineering Managers, PMs, BizOps, Architecture, and Platform to ensure feature quality and delivery
Plan, triage, and track team work using JIRA; ensure visibility into quality metrics and release readiness
Participate in hiring and interview processes to grow the team
Tackle cross-functional tasks and support complex projects outside core specialization when needed

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or extensive equivalent experience
Demonstrable professional experience in quality engineering and leadership
