The Opportunity
Reporting to the Director of Administrative Applications, the Applications Systems Analyst is an experienced analyst who will work to support the University to maintain and enhance the core business applications, effectively and efficiently applying technological and business solutions. The Applications Systems Analyst acts as a functional expert to support the business processes for one or more departments within the University. This requires the ability to learn and support one or more applications that make up the University’s business application footprint.
Ideal candidates should possess substantial experience with gathering business requirements gathering project management, application support and vendor management. Candidates should also be highly adaptable and possess sufficient resilience to effectively adjust to rapidly shifting prioritization. The Application Systems Analyst shall insist upon exceptional, positive and effortless customer service with colleagues within and beyond the institution. Typically, this position works with little direct supervision. This position may coach other team members requiring assistance in solving complex problems.
This position requires a strong communicator with a team-player attitude that will serve both as an individual contributor and leader on various projects. When leading projects, the successful candidate will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle and ensuring the quality and timeliness of all deliverables.

Required Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field required.
Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in application systems analysis, IT support, or enterprise systems administration.
Demonstrated experience with business requirements gathering, project management, and application support in a complex environment.
Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), system integrations, and application configuration.
Experience working with databases and the ability to read and work with code (e.g., SQL, scripting languages) preferred.
Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience supporting projects in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Proven ability to analyze complex technical issues, identify solutions, and implement improvements to business processes and systems.
Experience with vendor management and coordinating system upgrades, testing, and implementations.
Strong technical proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, Project).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also contributing effectively as part of a collaborative team.
Commitment to delivering high-quality customer service and maintaining positive working relationships across departments.
Experience in a higher education environment or supporting academic/administrative systems is preferred.
