PR & Comms Specialist
Skills
- 2–3 years experience in PR, corporate communications, media relations, or journalism
- Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills (English required; Spanish a plus)
- Familiarity with media databases and monitoring platforms (e.g., Meltwater, Cision)
- Experience with CMS and social media management tools
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines under pressure
- Proactive, autonomous approach and team-player mindset
Responsibilities
- Draft, edit, and coordinate approval of press releases, media advisories, Q&As, fact sheets and related materials
- Maintain daily contact with journalists: respond to inquiries, pitch stories, and coordinate interviews
- Assist in planning and executing press events, influencer activations, and stakeholder meetings
- Manage media monitoring, coverage clippings, reporting dashboards and internal trackers
- Monitor competitor activity and industry trends and provide summaries and insights
- Ensure consistent messaging across paid, earned, shared and owned channels
- Liaise with marketing, brand, legal, and product teams to align communications
- Act as a brand guardian to uphold tone, language and core company values
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field or equivalent experience
- Relevant certifications or coursework in media relations or digital communications a plus
