Who we’re looking for

We are seeking a Growth Architect—a rare technical-strategic leader who possesses a deep, intuitive grasp of the physics of the modern ad stack. You have lived through the degradation of client-side tracking and have built a career by establishing signal resilience in its place. You deeply understand the mechanics of how Meta and Google’s bidding models ingest data. You have helped drive data-driven omni-channel strategies for customers that extend across search, CTV, and social. You can diagnose whether a performance dip is a creative failure or a signal-loss issue and you know exactly how to leverage server-side infrastructure like CAPI and Enhanced Conversions to reclaim an algorithmic advantage. You are an expert at navigating the intersection of data privacy and marketing efficacy, viewing HIPAA and ITP/ATT constraints as design inputs rather than roadblocks.

You are an economic realist and maintain healthy skepticism of platform-reported vanity metrics. You ground your strategy in incrementality, media mix modeling, and measurable downstream business impact. This role requires a high-leverage auditor and strategist mindset—someone who can step into a high-spend environment, quickly identify the opportunities for improvement, and then explain the why in order to build the buy-in that leads to execution.

Finally, you are a Product-Minded Operator. You solve a marketing performance problem once, and then look for the repeatable pattern that can be productized. You have the technical fluency to collaborate with engineers on data schemas and the strategic presence to advise a CMO on multi-million dollar budget reallocations. You think in systems, execute with surgical precision, and possess a "Be the CEO" mentality that drives you to constantly refine the platform to ensure every customer dollar is optimized for maximum impact.

What you’ll be doing

At Freshpaint, we’re building the first performance platform that empowers healthcare marketers to drive measurable results from digital advertising without compromising privacy. As regulations evolve and data access grows more complex, Freshpaint will help marketers move beyond compliance toward outcomes, using AI-powered data decisions to unlock new levels of ROI.

As the Performance Marketing Strategy Lead you’ll help our customers leverage Freshpaint to drive measurable growth while navigating the complexities of healthcare marketing.

This role sits at the intersection of customers, their agencies, and our product. You’ll work directly with leading healthcare marketers to help them improve acquisition, optimize performance, and get more impact from every dollar they spend while maintaining a privacy-first approach.

Your mission is simple: help healthcare marketing teams do more with less, including more patients, more enrollments, and more impact.

Primary responsibilities

  • Help our customers deliver performance marketing driven improved outcomes and KPIs through strategic engagements alongside our Customer Success team.

  • Influence the product roadmap by turning frontline customer insights into product innovations and feature development.

  • Help ensure product innovations translate into real, measurable results.

  • Shape how we go to market by partnering with product marketing and revenue teams to refine how we position Freshpaint.

  • Develop performance frameworks, use cases, and ROI stories that support sales and customer success teams.

  • Drive expansion and strategic retention by partnering with customer success to embed Freshpaint into customers’ growth strategies.

  • Help build executive confidence and ensure Freshpaint is seen as a strategic partner and not just part of the compliance stack.

  • Accelerate time to value by building repeatable playbooks that help customers quickly launch high-performing, compliant campaigns.

Desired skills & experience

  • 8+ years of hands-on performance marketing and growth experience, with a track record of driving measurable outcomes.

  • Hands-on Marketing Expertise: You’ve built, executed, and optimized campaigns that involved the full marketing spectrum - paid media, growth, and lifecycle marketing strategies and tactics.

  • Data Fluency: You are dangerous with SQL and data visualization tools. You don't wait for a data scientist to tell you what happened; you find it yourself..

  • Platform Mastery: Expert-level knowledge of Meta Conversions API (CAPI), Google Enhanced Conversions, and other similar ad platform offerings. You understand how these platforms ingest server-side data and the impact of signal loss on bidding models.

  • Advanced Measurement: Proven experience implementing Incrementality testing (Geo-testing, Ghost Bids) and interpreting Media Mix Modeling (MMM) to guide high-stakes budget reallocation.

  • The "Post-Cookie" Playbook: A proven methodology for driving performance in a world of ITP, ATT, and disappearing third-party cookies.

  • Agency Fluency: Ability to speak the language of high-spend performance agencies, with the ability to both educate and hold them accountable to new measurement paradigms (Incrementality, MMM, and privacy-safe attribution).

  • Strategic Advisory: Ability to function as an effective strategic advisor, understanding multiple stakeholder perspectives and crafting guidance and recommendations accordingly to ensure they can be successfully implemented. Demonstrated strong storytelling and narrative-building skills.

  • Business Outcomes Driven: You have a revenue-oriented mindset focused on understanding the drivers of a business and improving the outcomes that matter most.

  • Systems Thinker / Product Mindset: You see how all the pieces connect and have translated that insight and understanding into repeatable, efficient solutions.

  • Collaborator: You have experience building relationships and working cross-functionally with product and go-to-market teams in highly effective, productive, and efficient ways.

  • AI-Native Workflow: You leverage LLMs and AI agents to automate creative analysis, search term auditing, or complex data regressions.

  • Regulated Industry Experience: A background in Healthcare (HIPAA), Fintech, or Insurance, where you’ve had to balance aggressive growth with strict data privacy constraints.

  • Product Strategy: Experience writing PRDs or influencing the roadmap of a B2B SaaS product.

  • Public Authority: You’ve authored whitepapers, case studies, or spoken at conferences about the future of privacy-safe performance marketing.
