Remote Storage Engineering Manager

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of software engineers focusing on Lustre and data management capabilities.
• Manage technical execution for software releases, including planning and quality assurance.
• Drive architecture and design reviews for filesystem features and operational tooling.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into executable plans.
• Ensure effective customer-facing engineering outcomes, including performance tuning and readiness.
• Establish and improve secure engineering processes and practices.
• Manage platform dependencies and ensure compatibility across environments.
• Oversee staffing, onboarding, and team culture to build a strong talent pipeline.
• Communicate status, risks, and tradeoffs to leadership and drive resolution.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience with 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Experience with HPC storage or distributed filesystems, understanding of performance fundamentals.
• Drive software quality through proven release management and defect triage strategies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder alignment.
