Senior Autonomy Release Engineer II
Skills
- 7+ years in autonomous systems, release engineering, or DevOps
- Strong Python and scripting skills
- Working knowledge of C/C++
- Proven ability to debug complex system-level issues
- Familiarity with simulation frameworks, HIL, and vehicle testing
- Experience with CI/CD, branching strategies, and release management
- Strong cross-domain communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Own and execute release process end-to-end for major, incremental, and hotfix releases
- Manage branching strategy, versioning, and release cut processes
- Drive release readiness and go/no-go decisions across cross-functional teams
- Investigate and resolve complex software/hardware and distributed system issues
- Integrate validation signals from simulation, regression tests, HIL, and vehicle testing
- Enforce stage-gated release framework (Feature Complete → Code Freeze → Validation → RC)
- Create instrumentation and monitoring to prove system correctness and safety
- Collaborate with autonomy, infrastructure, validation, and operations to scale release cadence
- Assess and improve compute performance, memory, disk, and network usage
- Support autonomy engineers in component integration and system-level improvements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in a relevant discipline preferred
