Post-Doctoral Fellow, Phases to Flow Laboratory , Chemical and Biological Engineering,POST-DOCTORAL RESEARCHER POSITION
Professor Amadeu Sum leads the Phases to Flow Laboratory in the Chemical & Biological Engineering Department at the Colorado School of Mines and is seeking a post-doctoral research fellow to work on industry sponsored projects related to gas hydrates and flow assurance. The successful candidate is expected to work effectively in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment with other members of the group and effectively interface with external partners.
The Opportunity:
Conduct experimental research using high pressure equipment for the characterization of gas hydrates formation and transportability.
Work on design and construction of custom equipment for high pressure measurements.
Write reports and peer-review publications.
Prepare and present update material related to research progress.
Serve as mentor to graduate and undergraduate students.
Minimum Qualifications:
PhD. In Chemical Engineering or related field. All PhD requirements should be completed by the time work commences.
Previous research experience in one or more areas of gas hydrates and flow assurance.
Experience with gas hydrate formation and characterization using high pressure equipment and modeling of multiphase equilibrium and flow.
Total Rewards:
$60,000 annual salary rate
