Mission Bit is seeking a Summer 2026 Web Design Teaching Assistant to help create an inclusive learning environment for youth of color in a remote support capacity, empowering them in their STEM education journey.
Responsibilities: Supporting classroom management and community building, ensuring effective student collaboration, and communicating student progress to families.
Skills: Experience working with youth in educational settings, strong communication abilities, and a passion for social justice and youth support are essential.
Qualifications: Preference for candidates with experience in HTML/CSS, project-based learning, and those who are bilingual in languages such as Spanish or Cantonese.
Location: Remote training with in-person training and duties based in San Francisco, CA.
Compensation: $23 - $23 / Hourly
Mission Bit is a San Francisco-based nonprofit that inspires youth of color to explore the world of STEM with project-based computer science education that embraces their identities. We offer a variety of hands-on STEM education programs, including biweekly, semester-long introductory coding courses.
As a TA for the Intro to Web Design class, you’ll promote a welcoming and supportive class community, foster productive collaboration, track student progress, and help students realize their potential.
