Technical Support Engineer II

Mitratech is a global provider of enterprise software for Legal, Risk, Compliance, and HR used by thousands of organizations worldwide. We seek a Technical Support Engineer II to deliver advanced application support, troubleshoot complex production issues, guide upgrades, and act as a technical escalation point for enterprise clients in a collaborative, customer-focused team.

Skills

  • Intermediate proficiency with MS SQL / SQL Server
  • Experience troubleshooting application tiers (App Server, DB, OS, auth/security)
  • Experience with .NET or Java/J2EE applications
  • Familiarity with application servers (IIS, Tomcat, WebLogic, WebSphere)
  • Experience with AppDynamics or similar APM/monitoring tools
  • Experience with relational databases (Oracle and/or SQL Server)
  • Performance tuning of applications or databases
  • Experience with Windows and/or Unix operating systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication and customer-facing skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and services teams

Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter expert and escalation resource for complex customer issues
  • Perform root-cause analysis, provide workarounds and collaborate on permanent fixes
  • Provide technical guidance and best practices for software upgrades and assist with upgrade execution
  • Recreate product defects and coordinate with engineering to scope and deliver resolutions
  • Monitor production applications and participate in resolution of high-impact incidents
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure and application stack issues (app servers, middleware, DB, OS, networking)
  • Develop and lead advanced troubleshooting processes and technical workarounds
  • Document and maintain client configurations and customizations
  • Participate in planning and coordination of new product deployments and enhancements

Education

  • Bachelor or Master of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Or equivalent technical experience in enterprise software support or services
