  2. The modern recruiting stack is a crime scene. Fragmented tools, brittle APIs, overpriced databases, and software that forces recruiters to work for it instead of the other way around. At Neuroscale, we believe recruiting works best when the right people are working on the right problems, combining human judgment with AI that truly understands hiring. That’s why we’re building a new foundation for how companies hire, bringing together specialized recruiters and modern AI tools.

  3. We built Arbi, the first end-to-end AI recruiting platform that connects companies with thousands of specialized recruiters and autonomous AI sourcing agents that work together to fill roles faster and more accurately.

About You:

You are a person who craves impact. You want to leave a (big) dent on the world. You are generally disappointed in the bar held by most people everyday. You feel smarter than everyone around you, yet that doesn’t make you happy – it makes you sad that you aren’t being pushed to think hard enough. You drive towards simplicity and expect others to do the same.

The Role:

We are hiring a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to serve as the highest-ranking technical leader at Neuroscale AI and a core member of the founding team. This is a hands-on, high-ownership leadership role for a technically exceptional, product-minded builder who can define architecture, scale engineering, and help turn an ambitious product roadmap into reality.

  • Define and own the overall technical vision, platform architecture, and engineering roadmap in alignment with product strategy and company growth.

  • Lead, recruit, and scale a world-class engineering organization, including hiring standards, team design, mentorship, and technical culture.

  • Oversee the design, development, and reliability of Neuroscale's backend systems, agents, talent matching models, orchestration layers, APIs, data workflows, and ext. integrations.

  • Drive sound architectural choices across backend systems (such as TypeScript/NestJS and Python/FastAPI), frontend applications, and AI/ML infrastructure.

  • Establish and enforce engineering best practices across security, observability, testing, reliability, incident response, and documentation.

  • Build the operational foundation required for scale, including runbooks, deployment patterns, developer tooling, and health metrics for engineering performance.

  • Own the company's compliance and certification roadmap across enterprise trust requirements, including security and privacy frameworks.

  • Represent the company's technical strategy externally with customers, partners, analysts, investors, and research institutions.

  • This is a 9am - 9pm, 6 days a week position, if this isn't you, don't bother applying.


Some interesting problems that you WILL work on:

  • Intelligently match millions of candidates and companies with our unique and proprietary data source driven by world-class recruiters

  • Design monetary and social incentives to define how recruiters should work and help them earn more than ever

  • Build core tooling to power recruiter workflows and enable accurate candidate matching (AI sourcing, notetaking, sequencing, browsers extension, etc.)

  • Create a new paradigm for how world-class talent finds their dream job via recruiters and lay the foundations to build the next Indeed/LinkedIn.

  • Hack away at creative ways to acquire marketplace liquidity in new industries like Legal, Finance, Healthcare, Blue Collar, & AI.

The Compensation & Benefits:

  • $150,000 - $200,000 base salary. Real compensation for people who do real work.

  • On-Target Earnings (OTE) up to $350,000. You get extra-rewarded as we grow.

  • 2 - 4% equity. You are not just a founding engineer. You are an owner.

  • $250,000 in AI tooling credits. Cursor, Claude, whatever you need. We don't cap your leverage.

  • Health, Vision and Dental. 50% reimbursed. We take care of the people who take care of the company.

  • Unlimited PTO. We measure output, not hours. Take the trip.

  • Remote or in-person. We have 2 modern campuses in Reston & Sterling Virginia. Northern Virginia is what happens when defense money meets startup ambition. It's the SF of the east coast and we've planted our flag here.

  • Paid engineering conferences. NVIDIA GTC, NeurIPS, and anything else that makes you sharper. If it makes you better, we pay for it.

  • Direct access to the best. You will work alongside founders, operators, and advisors who have built and scaled real things. The learning curve here is not a perk line item but it might be the most valuable thing on this list.

  • The real benefit? You will do more meaningful work in 12 months than most people do in a decade. You will have equity in something that matters, a seat at a table that counts, and a team around you that refuses to be average.

The Team:

Our median team member age is 23, the CEO is 20 (built an EdTech business to $100M valuation at age 16). We are not a recruiting agency or consulting firm. We are not a "process first" company. We don't have a lot of BS meetings and we don't have a lot of managers. What we do have is a small, hungry, unreasonably talented group of people who move fast, think hard, and genuinely care about building something that matters.

  1. You will not be handed a ticket queue. You will not be "onboarded" for three weeks. You will be thrown into the fire on day one, working directly with the CEO on product strategy, fundraising narratives, and board-level decisions that actually shape the future of A-Tier hiring.

  2. You will work shoulder to shoulder with product, design, and go-to-market to turn vision into shipped product and customer-ready experiences. You will be the primary technical voice in enterprise sales cycles, security reviews, and strategic partner discussions. You will stress-test decisions, call out systemic risks, and be the person who makes sure we build things that last.

  3. We move with urgency. And we hold ourselves to a standard that most people would find uncomfortable. This is not a job. It's a chance to do some of the most important work of your career, earlier than you thought possible, with people who will push you harder than anyone has before.
