Senior Mechanical Engineer
Skills
- Proficiency with CAD tools (SolidWorks, CATIA, Siemens NX, or similar)
- Experience with multibody dynamics (Simpack, Adams, or equivalent)
- Strong FEA and computational simulation skills
- Solid understanding of mechanical vibrations, fatigue analysis, and structural mechanics
- Experience with transportation, automotive, or railway mechanical systems
- Ability to read and apply engineering standards and safety regulations
- Familiarity with prototype development and test support
Responsibilities
- Design and analyze vehicle structures, mechanisms, and actuated systems focusing on dynamics, kinematics, and structural integrity
- Develop, optimize, and maintain CAD models for mechanical components and assemblies
- Perform multibody dynamics simulations to evaluate system performance under real-world conditions
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) for structural, fatigue, and modal performance
- Investigate and resolve mechanical failures to improve reliability
- Support prototype development, testing, and validation as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Interpret and apply relevant engineering standards and safety regulations
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required
- Master's degree in a related field preferred but not required
