Lead Dental Hygienist

Preferred Search Group is partnering with a privately owned dental practice in Carlsbad, CA to find a skilled and patient-focused Lead Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our growing practice. This is a leadership opportunity for a hygienist who is confident working in a fast-paced, double column hygiene environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.

What You’ll Do

• Provide high-quality preventive and therapeutic hygiene care in a double column hygiene setting
• Educate patients and confidently discuss treatment recommendations
• Administer local anesthesia as needed
• Deliver adjunctive services including:
• Laser therapy
• Irrigation
• Fluoride treatments
• Recommend and tailor home care solutions such as:
• Prescription fluoride toothpaste
• Dry mouth products
• Specialty rinses
• Ensure every patient feels supported, informed, and cared for throughout their visit
• Collaborate with the clinical team to maintain efficient patient flow

• Active California Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license
• Comfortable working in a high-volume, HMO-heavy practice
• Strong communication and patient education skills
• Ability to administer anesthesia
• Leadership mindset with a team-oriented approach
• Experience in a double hygiene setup preferred
• Bringing your own hygiene assistant is a plus
