Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of experienced product managers and emerging leaders, setting goals and measuring their growth and impact.
- Design, own, and iterate people systems: career ladders, performance frameworks, onboarding, and professional development.
- Own the full hiring engine for PMs: pipeline development, interview design, candidate evaluation, and offer processes.
- Set strategic context and priorities for product areas, helping PMs translate ambiguity into clear priorities and strategy.
- Partner cross-functionally with engineering, design, data science, policy, and executive leadership to enable strong product outcomes.
- Champion and model AI-assisted product workflows while setting standards for judicious tool use across discovery, scoping, and prototyping.
- Represent product in conversations with state partners and stakeholders; travel to partners and internal gatherings as needed (~quarterly).
Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
- Advanced degree (MBA, MPP, or related) is a plus but not required
- Equivalent hands-on product leadership experience accepted in lieu of formal degree
