Senior Technical Program Manager, Privacy

Robinhood is building technology to democratize finance and is assembling high-performing teams to solve large-scale financial problems. The Privacy team is looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to define and drive privacy initiatives, embed privacy into product and data practices, and partner closely with engineering, legal, compliance, and data teams to deliver measurable program outcomes.

Skills

  • 5+ years technical program management experience in a technology organization
  • Strong understanding of system design and ability to decompose complex technical problems
  • Proven experience building and running privacy programs with measurable metrics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including executive-level reporting
  • Experience with data governance, retention, and access control practices
  • Ability to prioritize, work through ambiguity, and drive results in high-growth environments
  • Collaborative stakeholder management across engineering, legal, compliance, and product teams

Responsibilities

  • Define and manage cross-functional privacy program roadmaps, milestones, timelines, and KPIs
  • Partner with engineering, legal, compliance, and data teams to translate privacy requirements into implementation plans
  • Build and scale data governance programs (data lifecycle, retention, access controls)
  • Lead planning, reporting, and executive updates across multiple initiatives
  • Document complex technical systems and create clear execution plans and trackers
  • Track and report measurable outcomes and ensure alignment with regulatory and business needs

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience
  • Privacy, compliance, or legal training preferred (e.g., CIPP, related coursework)
  • Advanced degree or additional professional certifications considered a plus
