Skills
- Hands-on experience with mechanical and structural hardware

Responsibilities
- Plan, analyze, and execute critical lifts and heavy-haul transports for rocket stages and GSE on land and at sea
- Develop lift plans, rigging designs, and transport configurations including center-of-gravity calculations
- Coordinate across vehicle analysis, launch ops, logistics, and recovery teams to assess mass properties and load paths
- Create rework work orders, maintenance dispositions, and emergency procedures for custom hardware and transport systems
- Perform risk assessments, hazard analyses, and fatigue/stress calculations for lifts and transports
- Oversee on-site operations including pre-lift dry runs, real-time monitoring, and post-operation debriefs
- Manage vendor interfaces and supervise contracted crane, rigging, trailer, and marine operations
- Maintain engineering documentation, calculations, drawings, and certification packages for audits and agencies
- Support off-hour and high-stakes operations with real-time troubleshooting and issue resolution
- Drive continuous improvement in lift/transport processes and present engineering data to government agencies
Education
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (required)
- Master's degree in a relevant engineering field (preferred)
