- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and 1+ years data/software engineering experience (internships applicable)
- Experience in analytics, data science, or machine learning
- Familiarity with big-data processing frameworks (Spark, Presto, Flink) and cloud data warehouses (Snowflake)
- Experience with columnar storage formats (Parquet) and large (TB+) datasets
- Experience designing and maintaining ETL pipelines and streaming data processing
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and deploying data services
- Ability to develop, deploy, and maintain tools used for data analysis
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain mission-critical data infrastructure, tools, and custom software to assess program growth and network effectiveness
- Automate metric aggregation and detection of widespread application issues across Starlink
- Fuse and transform data from multiple sources into usable analytics products and data catalogs
- Lead technical investigations into chronic application-level issues and collaborate with external application/content owners
- Develop ground-based systems to ingest, process, store, and serve large-scale data for analytics
- Apply analytics, models, and machine learning techniques to data produced by space vehicles and network systems
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, physics, mathematics, or another STEM discipline
