Responsibilities
- Manage and expand a multidisciplinary manufacturing engineering team (10–20+) covering automation, photolithography, thin/dry films, plating, etch, molding, singulation, die attach/BGA attach, and RF test
- Collaborate with production, process development, supply chain, and test teams to specify equipment and implement manufacturing solutions
- Drive data-driven process improvements using FMEA, SPC, and module-level OCAPs to sustain high-volume automated lines
- Lead yield and quality reviews, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to achieve target repeatability (3-sigma)
- Oversee equipment qualification, validation, troubleshooting, and change control in controlled/cleanroom environments
- Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards (e.g., ISO, SEMI, JEDEC) and SpaceX safety protocols
- Hire, mentor, and develop engineering talent, conduct performance reviews, and cultivate a high-performance culture
- Manage cross-functional technical communication and present status and tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders
Education
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (required)
- Master's or PhD in relevant engineering discipline (preferred)
