- Practical knowledge of RoHS, REACH, WEEE, Prop 65 and Full Material Declaration processes
- Experience with material data management systems and supplier data collection at scale
- BOM analysis and compliance risk assessment skills
- Strong technical writing and regulatory documentation ability
- Supplier engagement and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Understanding of global regulatory landscape (EU, US, UK, China, etc.)
- ITAR eligibility or ability to obtain required U.S. authorizations
Responsibilities
- Own full material compliance strategy and execution for all Starlink hardware, including Full Material Declarations and BOM analysis
- Lead RoHS, REACH, WEEE, Prop 65, and other global environmental compliance programs
- Manage material data systems and drive supplier data collection, validation, and remediation
- Conduct compliance risk assessments on new components and materials and provide clear direction to design, sourcing, and manufacturing
- Prepare and maintain regulatory technical documentation and global compliance filings
- Monitor emerging environmental regulations and translate them into actionable product and supply-chain requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Design, NPI, Sourcing, Manufacturing) to integrate compliance requirements without direct authority
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, materials engineering, materials science, environmental science, chemistry, or other STEM discipline
