- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or physics
- 1+ years professional or internship experience in quality, manufacturing, or design engineering
- Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action processes
- Familiarity with Lean principles, Six Sigma, APQP, PFMEA, control plans, and metrology
- Ability to work extended hours, nights, and weekends as mission demands
- Ability to pass an Air Force background check and meet ITAR eligibility requirements
Responsibilities
- Ensure reliable launches by optimizing vehicle, payload, and spacecraft processing and refurbishment procedures
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams responsible for vehicle and launch pad systems to maintain process health
- Identify high-risk processes and implement process improvements to achieve operational excellence
- Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions for recurring or high-impact failures
- Maintain feedback loops to drive hardware inputs, use data to prioritize and resolve high-impact issues
- Participate in PDR/CDR to ensure design for quality (DFQ), manufacturability (DFM), risk mitigation, and appropriate test/inspection strategies
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or physics (required)
- Bachelor’s in aerospace or mechanical engineering preferred
