- Ability to create and verify requirements and perform systems-level thinking
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
- Own hardware and mechanisms from concept through production and on-orbit operations
- Develop design criteria, write and collaborate on requirements, and drive system-level optimization
- Rapidly iterate designs and analyses to inform system trades and product direction
- Implement DFM practices to reduce part/process count and error-proof fabrication and integration
- Establish efficient product lifecycle from supply chain to final integration and production
- Perform environmental and performance testing to validate designs and compliance
- Manage product delivery timeline through conception, assembly, and launch
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability and operational readiness
Education
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a STEM discipline (required)
- Graduating with a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in 2026 or 2027
- Master’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline (preferred)
