- Bachelor’s degree in electrical/computer engineering, physics, or related field
- 1+ years experience in RF/microwave circuit design (industry or research; internships/co-ops apply)
- 1+ years experience with 3D EM simulation tools (e.g., CST, HFSS, FEKO)
- Experience with RF test equipment (VNA, spectrum analyzer, vector signal analyzer/generator)
- Knowledge of digital communication systems, modulation types, and BER/system noise concepts
- Familiarity with RF design tools (ADS, AWR, HFSS) and PCB tools (Altium)
- Programming experience for modeling and test automation (Matlab, Python, C++, LabVIEW)
Responsibilities
- Simulate and model communication systems and RF subsystems
- Partition functions between hardware and software with system architects and cross-disciplinary teams
- Derive top-level specifications for RF links and antenna/RF subsystems
- Design, implement, and verify electrical hardware for satellites and ground terminals
- Characterize and analyze system and radio performance at microwave frequencies
- Provide technical support for regulatory, coordination, and market access activities
- Support test automation and measurement development for RF validation
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or equivalent
- Master’s degree in electrical or computer engineering preferred (or 2+ years additional industry experience)
