Skills
- Broad, hands-on expertise across EMC, product safety, RF/wireless, and environmental compliance
- Proven experience with FCC, CE, UL, IEC/EN, RED, RoHS, and REACH standards and test processes
- Experience certifying consumer electronics or telecommunications equipment for global markets
- Strong project management and cross-functional leadership skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication; able to convey complex regulatory topics to engineers
Responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end product compliance and global market access programs for Starlink hardware (EMC, Safety, Radio, Environmental)
- Coordinate certification campaigns across multiple disciplines and international geographies
- Collaborate with design and systems teams to embed compliance requirements early in the development cycle
- Manage relationships with test labs, Notified Bodies, and certification agencies worldwide
- Develop and maintain technical construction files and support regulatory submissions
- Identify, investigate, and resolve complex compliance issues across safety, EMC, RF, and materials
- Provide technical leadership and translate regulatory requirements for engineering teams
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a STEM discipline (required)
- Advanced degree in engineering, regulatory affairs, or related field (preferred)
