Responsibilities
- Lead technical teams in architecting, developing, and deploying real-time RF sensor software
- Translate MATLAB/Python prototypes into optimized production C/C++ code for real-time systems
- Optimize performance for resource-constrained systems with strict latency and deterministic requirements
- Design communication infrastructure and data flows for distributed processing systems
- Lead end-to-end open system integration including hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing
- Conduct design and code reviews, technical risk assessments, and ensure compliance with open architecture standards
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineers
- Prepare technical reports, briefings, and present results to sponsors and senior management
- Interface with customers, program managers, and stakeholders to define technical requirements
- Lead technical proposal efforts including approach definition, cost estimation, and white paper development
- Collaborate with algorithm developers, systems engineers, RF hardware engineers, and integration teams
- Support customer meetings, integration events, and field demonstrations (≈20% travel)
Education
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Experience requirements vary by degree (BS +10 years, MS +8 years, PhD +5 years)
- Relevant professional experience in software development for real-time or sensing applications
