We're rebuilding the financial plumbing of the internet from the ground up.

THE ROLE

As a Senior Frontend Engineer at HIFI, you'll lead the developer-facing products through which businesses and builders interact with our platform — from the Developer Dashboard to SDKs and integration tooling. You'll architect and deliver experiences that make complex financial infrastructure feel simple, fast, and obvious.

This role requires both deep technical expertise and strong product intuition. You won't just implement designs — you'll shape them. You won't just ship features — you'll own the standard.

WHAT YOU'LL BUILD

  • Lead development of the Developer Dashboard, SDKs, and integration tooling used by enterprise and developer customers

  • Architect responsive, high-performance web applications for mission-critical financial workflows

  • Own and evolve design systems and reusable component libraries at scale

  • Define and enforce accessibility, usability, and developer experience best practices

  • Partner with engineering, product, and GTM to shape requirements and developer journeys

  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and help grow frontend engineering culture at HIFI

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 4+ years building and shipping high-performance frontend applications in production

  • Deep proficiency in React, TypeScript, and modern frameworks (Next.js, React Native)

  • Experience leading architecture decisions and owning design systems and component libraries

  • Strong product instincts — you can shape UX and influence product direction, not just execute on specs

  • Skilled with CI/CD, testing frameworks, monitoring, and performance optimization

  • You move fast, communicate clearly, and raise the alarm when something isn't right

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience building financial-grade UIs: onboarding flows, KYC/KYB, transaction dashboards, reconciliation views

  • Familiarity with global payment rails (ACH, SWIFT, SEPA) or stablecoin infrastructure

  • Prior early-stage startup experience — you know what it means to build a design system from zero

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

The expected salary range for this role is $135,000 - $160,000 USD. However, the starting base pay will depend on a number of factors including the candidate’s location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity. Depending on the position offered, equity and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package.
