As a Solutions Architect at UnitX, you will be a key contributor to the design, development, and deployment of defect inspection automation solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of our clients. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, project management, and technical experts, to analyze requirements, design solutions, and oversee the implementation of defect inspection projects. You will report directly into the Solutions Manager.
What You'll Do:
Solution Design: Work closely with clients and internal teams to understand their defect inspection needs and challenges. Design comprehensive automation solutions that encompass imaging and motion hardware, software, control systems, and integration components.
Travel to Customers 40%+ of the time: Go on-site to our customer and potential customer facilities to introduce what our system is capable of.
POC: Leverage in-house and external imaging systems to solve complicated visual inspection imaging challenges.
Prototyping and Testing: Create prototypes and conduct thorough testing to validate the functionality and performance of solution proposals. Identify and resolve any technical issues or inefficiencies.
Technical Documentation: Produce detailed technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, wiring schematics, user manuals, and operating procedures.
Client Communication: Collaborate with clients to explain technical concepts, demonstrate the benefits of proposed solutions, and gather feedback to refine designs.
Who You Are:
Engineering Background: A bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, preferably in fields like mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, automation engineering, or related disciplines.
Industry Experience: 4+ years of hands on experience working on vision automation projects in manufacturing industry.
Technical Skills: CAD, Optics, Electrical Systems, Control Systems
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to design effective solutions for complex manufacturing processes.
Communication: Excellent communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Hands-On Experience: Practical experience in implementing and troubleshooting manufacturing automation systems is highly valued.
