About Zed
Zed is building the first AI-native, licensed neobank in the Philippines designed to democratize access to premium financial services for young professionals in global markets. The current banking system is broken, often shutting out the world’s youngest and fastest-growing consumer classes—we’re here to fix it.
Our team is uniquely positioned to solve this. We are Stanford engineers and former YC founders who have spent our careers at the intersection of banking and hyper-growth startups like Square, Facebook, and Box. We’ve been here before, having previously built and exited Symple (YC W'17), a fast-growing B2B payments company.
We are backed by world-class investors, including Accel, Valar, Immad Akhund (Mercury), Dalton Caldwell (Y Combinator), and Kunal Shah (Cred).
We are seeking an MBA Summer Associate to work directly with Zed’s leadership team on architecting and executing our warehouse funding strategy.
This is a hands-on capital markets role. You will be involved in sourcing, conducting due diligence, and structuring the facility from the ground up—not just managing presentations.
Analyze and model the impact of different warehouse structures, advance rates, pricing terms, and eligibility frameworks
Help define Zed’s target facility objectives, including desired size, flexibility, cost of capital, and operational constraints
Map the market of potential funding partners, including private credit funds, specialty finance investors, and other warehouse providers
Support outreach strategy and early conversations with prospective facility partners
Assist in evaluating partner proposals and negotiating key economic and structural terms
Help shape the borrowing base, covenants, triggers, and eligibility criteria in collaboration with prospective funding partners
Build and refine lender-facing materials, including the deck, lender memo, and broader credit narrative
Organize diligence materials and help structure the data room for partner review
MBA candidate or recent MBA graduate from a top-tier program
Background in capital markets, including:
Investment Banking (LevFin / DCM / Structured Finance)
Credit funds or specialty finance
Ratings agencies
Fintech treasury or structured credit
Strong financial modeling skills
Excellent written communicator capable of drafting institutional lender materials
Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, high-ownership startup environment
Available to work in-person in San Francisco
Opportunity to help architect institutional warehouse facilities for a high-growth, licensed neobank
Direct exposure to founders and investors
Real ownership over capital strategy at a venture-backed fintech
Potential to extend beyond the summer for the right candidate
