Principal PMT, Visual Search

Description

Visual Search at Amazon is redefining how hundreds of millions of customers discover and shop for products. We sit at the intersection of computer vision, multimodal AI, and large-scale search, building experiences that let customers shop the world around them using their camera, an image or even a description of something they can only imagine. Our technology powers some of Amazon's most innovative shopping surfaces and we are growing fast and we see a massive opportunity ahead.

We are a full-stack science and engineering organization building products that span the entire customer journey, from foundational model research and large-scale retrieval systems to delightful mobile experiences on iOS and Android. As a Principal Product Manager, you'll define product strategy across this spectrum, partnering with science and engineering leaders to translate breakthrough AI capabilities into customer experiences. Multiple teams across Amazon rely on our platforms and APIs, giving you the opportunity to influence visual shopping experiences at scale across the company.

Are you ready to lead the next generation of Visual AI at Amazon? If you are energized by defining product vision at the intersection of computer vision, multimodal learning, and generative AI, and by the challenge of scaling breakthrough research into products used by millions, this role is for you.

Key job responsibilities
As the Principal Product Manager for Visual Search, your role is to create and execute the vision and strategy for the Visual Search team's new products. Your focus is on delivering excellent shopping experiences for customers by understanding their visual shopping intents and incorporating relevant features across Amazon Lens, More Like This and emerging visual discovery surfaces. You will set the product vision, define roadmaps and partner with science, engineering and business leaders to deliver transformative experiences. You will evaluate product proposals, guide experimentation design, review metrics and ensure high-quality product and technical output. You may influence product strategy across multiple locations with meaningful input into organizational planning.

About the team
