Responsibilities
- Introduce, socialize, and implement the Manufacturing Development Process (MDP) across the Space Business Line and cross-functional partners (Design, Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Configuration).
- Create and maintain an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) aligning manufacturing milestones across 5–7 product lines and functional teams with emphasis on Spacecraft Assembly, Integration & Test (AI&T).
- Track manufacturing readiness and risks over time; synthesize engineering and production data to identify and escalate risks and drive risk buydown plans to closure.
- Facilitate phase-gate evaluations with Manufacturing Engineering teams, shape presentation content, and guide stakeholder messaging on readiness and lessons learned.
- Support facility buildout and transitions from development to production facilities, and guide teams through build cycles from Concept/Prototype to Low Rate and Full Rate Production.
- Develop and deploy business processes, templates, and best practices; establish accountability, prioritize deliverables, and monitor action-item closure across teams.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, systems engineering, or related field preferred.
- Advanced degree (MS, MBA) or relevant professional certifications (PMP, PMI-ACP) are advantageous.
- Ongoing professional development and training relevant to manufacturing and program management recommended.
