Skills
- Proficient in C and embedded systems programming
- Experience with RTOS-based development
- Familiarity with communications buses/protocols (CAN, CAN-FD, UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, etc.)
- Systems programming: algorithms, data structures, concurrency, and optimization
- Device driver development and sensor/actuator interfacing
- Technical leadership and roadmap ownership
- Eligible to obtain and maintain U.S. Secret security clearance
Responsibilities
- Own multi-year, multi-stakeholder software roadmap and customer success for vehicle management systems
- Architect, design, and implement safety-critical vehicle sub-systems (sensor processing, state estimation, actuation, contingency management)
- Lead development of real-time embedded software on an RTOS and device drivers for sensors/actuators
- Coordinate across internal product, program, and external partner teams to define interfaces and requirements
- Define and implement software development processes, full lifecycle testing, and sustainment practices
- Develop test and simulation fixtures including software- and hardware-in-the-loop
- Support vehicle manufacturing, deployment, and fielded system troubleshooting
- Act as subject matter expert representing software equities to engineering, business, and sales leadership
- Lead and mentor multi-disciplinary engineering teams, including senior engineers
- Travel up to 20% to co-locate with end-users and other teams
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience
