- Systems engineering and requirements development experience in multidisciplinary projects
- Proficiency with MBSE tools such as Cameo for modeling and system visualization
- Strong documentation and technical writing skills for ICDs, validation plans, and engineering artifacts
- Experience performing system decomposition, integration, and V&V activities
- Ability to collaborate across hardware, software, electrical, thermal, and compliance domains
- Familiarity with military standards, certifications, and compliance processes
- Comfort operating in fast-paced, documentation-heavy environments and managing technical debt
- Experience with digital twin frameworks or system simulation is a plus
Responsibilities
- Develop, refine, and maintain robust, testable system requirements and interface control documents (ICDs).
- Perform detailed system decompositions and validation activities to integrate multidisciplinary subsystems.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, electrical, thermal, and compliance leads to resolve technical tradeoffs and ensure production-readiness.
- Create and maintain engineering artifacts: ICDs, validation plans, performance metrics, and baseline system designs.
- Use MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo), digital twins, and architectural models to produce system views and traceability.
- Lead verification & validation strategies and manage verification data to demonstrate compliance with military standards.
- Identify, prioritize, and remediate technical debt to maintain system balance and delivery cadence.
- Coordinate with system architects and cross-functional teams to deliver baseline designs and support production transition.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Relevant graduate degree or additional engineering certifications is a plus
