Skills
- Expert Python development and SDK/connector design
- Strong experience with Python data libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Pydantic)
- Hands‑on experience with orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster, Prefect)
- Familiarity with data transformation tooling (dbt, SQLMesh)
- Practical production experience with embeddings, vector search, and RAG patterns
- Solid SQL, data modeling, and OLAP/analytical database knowledge
- Concurrent Python (threading, multiprocessing, async) and performance optimization
- Proven track record contributing to or supporting open‑source projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve ClickHouse's Python connector and SDKs with a focus on performance, reliability, and API quality
- Develop and maintain integrations with orchestration platforms (Airflow, Dagster, Prefect) and transformation tools (dbt, SQLMesh)
- Design and implement AI/LLM integration patterns (embeddings, vector stores, RAG, feature pipelines) using ClickHouse
- Collaborate with Product, Cloud, and engineering teams to align integration efforts with platform priorities
- Engage with the open‑source community: triage issues, mentor contributors, and use feedback to shape the roadmap
- Drive architecture and performance improvements across the connector ecosystem and ensure production readiness
- Own the full lifecycle of integration components: design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in a relevant field is a plus but not required
