Skills
- 5+ years building backend applications with modern languages
- Experience with distributed systems and microservice architectures
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and running services in production
- Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases (Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB)
- Solid fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and system design
- Experience with observability, monitoring, and incident response
- Strong testing practices and experience writing maintainable code
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs that meet enterprise requirements
- Implement new features and enhance existing systems in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Optimize performance, reliability, and scalability of backend systems
- Participate in production operations and incident response on a rotational basis
- Conduct and receive code reviews, providing constructive technical feedback
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best practices
- Partner with product, leadership, sales, and customers to inform technical design and user experience
- Continuously improve planning, development, and deployment processes
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
