Senior Director, Payer Marketing

Definium Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing innovative treatments for brain health disorders. The Senior Director, Payer Marketing will lead development of branded and unbranded payer-facing materials and strategies to drive coverage, access, and reimbursement for DT-120 ODT, partnering closely with Market Access, HEOR, Medical Affairs, Commercial, and external agencies.

Skills

  • Deep experience in payer marketing strategy for commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid audiences
  • Proven ability to create formulary support tools, value dossiers, and reimbursement guides
  • Strong HEOR literacy and ability to translate complex economic/clinical data into accessible materials
  • Experience with MLR review processes and compliance in payer content development
  • Cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management in fast-moving commercial environments
  • Project and vendor management with budget oversight
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop branded and unbranded payer marketing materials including value propositions, formulary support tools, reimbursement guides, and channel-specific messaging for PBMs, specialty pharmacies, and GPOs
  • Translate clinical and HEOR evidence into clear, compelling payer-facing content and tools
  • Ensure all materials meet Medical/Legal/Regulatory (MLR) and compliance standards
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Market Access, HEOR, Medical Affairs, Commercial Marketing, Sales, Legal, and Regulatory Affairs to align payer strategy with commercial plans
  • Support payer account teams with customized tools and resources to reinforce coverage and access objectives
  • Identify evidence gaps and partner with HEOR to define and execute strategies (RWE, publications, targeted research) to close those gaps
  • Manage external agencies and vendors producing payer content, overseeing timelines, budgets, and quality standards
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize agency models and vendor performance as the commercial organization scales

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Advanced degree (MBA, MPH, PharmD or equivalent) preferred
