You will shape the automation and integration layer that underpins commerce planning, activation, measurement, and optimization—ensuring technology enables consistent, data‑driven delivery for clients and internal teams.

This role is responsible for translating complex commerce and retail media operations into scalable platform solutions. You will partner closely with Commerce Strategy, Data & Technology, and Engineering leaders to define priorities, align roadmaps, and deliver platform capabilities across ecosystems such as Amazon Ads, Walmart Connect, and other emerging retail media networks. Your success will be measured by adoption, operational impact, and the ability to create platform foundations that scale globally.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Strategy & Vision

  • You will define and lead the long‑term strategy and roadmap for dentsu’s internal commerce platforms, ensuring alignment with global commerce and retail media priorities
  • You will translate evolving commerce trends—including automation and AI‑enabled capabilities—into platform investments that drive measurable business value

Buy‑Side Retail Media Leadership

  • You will serve as a senior subject‑matter expert in buy‑side retail media operations, with deep expertise in the Amazon Ads ecosystem
  • You will evaluate commerce execution models to identify where platform capabilities can improve efficiency, insight, and governance
  • You will partner with activation and strategy leaders to ensure platforms are built around real operational needs and scalable workflows

Product Governance & Delivery

  • You will oversee the end‑to‑end product lifecycle, from concept and prioritization through launch, adoption, and optimization
  • You will work closely with commerce technology leadership and engineering partners to ensure platform designs translate into durable, extensible technical solutions
  • You will act as the primary executive connector between business stakeholders and technical teams

Data & Platform Integration

  • You will guide platform requirements related to:
    • Retail media platform integrations
    • API‑based data ingestion and orchestration
    • Data normalization, reporting, and measurement frameworks
    • Integration with internal agency systems and workflows
  • You will ensure platform decisions align with broader enterprise architecture, data governance, and security standards

Adoption & Enablement

  • You will drive adoption and consistency of commerce platforms across global teams and markets
  • You will sponsor enablement efforts, including documentation, training, and change management, to support scalable implementation

Qualifications & Experience

  • 8–12 years of experience within retail media, commerce media, ad tech, or marketing technology environments
  • 3–4 years of experience leading product strategy or product management initiatives focused on platforms, automation, or transformation
  • Strong hands‑on experience with buy‑side retail media ecosystems, particularly Amazon Ads
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with engineering, data, and technology leadership teams
  • Prior experience within agencies, retail media networks, or commerce technology platforms

Platform & Domain Expertise

  • Experience working with platforms such as Amazon Ads, Amazon Marketing Cloud, Walmart Connect, Instacart Ads, Criteo, and emerging commerce ecosystems
  • Strong understanding of retail media measurement, attribution, and reporting models

Leadership & Platform Skill Set

  • You have led or scaled platform‑based products or internal tools in complex, multi‑stakeholder environments
  • You are skilled at translating business and operational complexity into clear platform requirements
  • You are comfortable operating within agile, roadmap‑driven product organizations
  • You collaborate effectively across global, cross‑functional teams
