Position Description

EIP is seeking a highly motivated individual to be an Outreach Representative supporting our utility client, in Philadelphia, PA. In this role, you will lead outreach and engagement efforts to drive participation in our utility client's non-residential energy efficiency programs, working in close collaboration with CLEAResult as the prime contractor.

You will play a critical role in cultivating relationships with commercial and industrial customers, trade allies, community organizations, and other stakeholders to increase awareness and participation in program offerings. This includes supporting initiatives such as strategic energy management, building optimization, and existing buildings programs through coordinated outreach campaigns, events, and direct engagement.

The Outreach Professional will supervise and oversee the outreach coordinator team, ensuring consistent, high-quality engagement and achievement of program goals. This role reports to the EIP Program Manager and works cross-functionally with account managers, engineers, and program leadership to ensure alignment between outreach efforts and program delivery.

Objectives of this Role

·        Outreach Strategy Leadership: Develop and implement outreach strategies that increase awareness of the program offerings and drive participation across non-residential customer segments.

·        Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with commercial and industrial customers, trade allies, community organizations, and key stakeholders.

·        Program Promotion: Support recruitment into programs such as SEM, custom and prescriptive incentives, and building optimization offerings through targeted engagement.

·        Team Leadership: Supervise outreach coordinators, ensuring alignment with program goals, consistent messaging, and achievement of key performance indicators.

·        Awareness and Education: Promote energy efficiency, decarbonization, and sustainability solutions through events, campaigns, and direct engagement.

·        Data-Driven Improvements: Track outreach activities and performance metrics, using data to refine strategies and improve outcomes.

·        Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and CLEAResult partners to ensure seamless customer experience and coordinated program delivery.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

·        Outreach Execution: Lead and support outreach campaigns including calls, site visits, events, and presentations to recruit participants and trade allies.

·        Partnership Development: Establish and maintain relationships with community organizations, government agencies, trade allies, and industry stakeholders.

·        Customer Engagement: Conduct direct outreach to commercial and industrial customers to promote participation in energy efficiency programs.

·        Event Management: Organize and participate in workshops, webinars, lunch-and-learns, and other educational events.

·        Trade Ally Engagement: Recruit, onboard, and maintain relationships with contractors and service providers supporting program delivery.

·        Communication: Develop and deliver clear, consistent messaging about program offerings through multiple channels (email, presentations, social media, etc.).

·        Data Management: Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, stakeholder engagement, and program participation.

·        Feedback Collection: Gather insights from participants and partners to improve outreach strategies and program design.

·        Collaboration: Coordinate with account managers, engineering teams, and CLEAResult staff to align outreach with program goals and customer needs.

·        Progress Reporting: Prepare and present reports on outreach performance, participation metrics, and engagement outcomes.

Required Qualifications

·        Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, environmental studies, or a related field; or equivalent experience.

·        Experience: Proven track record of at least 2 years in account management, outreach coordination, or sales, preferably within the energy efficiency and clean energy sector or related fields.

·        Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and persuasively.

·        Relationship Building: Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, including utility customers, trade allies, and community organizations.

·        Organizational Skills: Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

·        Passion: A strong commitment to sustainability, energy efficiency, and environmental justice.

Preferred Qualifications

·        Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with utility energy efficiency programs, demand-side management, and commercial/industrial customer engagement.

·        Trade Ally Experience: Experience working with contractors, distributors, or trade ally networks.

·        Event & Campaign Management: Experience planning and executing outreach campaigns, workshops, and educational events.

·        Technology Proficiency: Experience with CRM systems, data tracking tools, and outreach reporting platforms.

·        Local Market Knowledge: Familiarity with the Pennsylvania market and regional stakeholders is a plus.

WE OFFER

·        Competitive base salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.

·        Performance-based bonus tied to individual and company performance.

·        401(k) retirement savings plan with employer match.

·        Comprehensive health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.

·        Paid vacation, sick time, and holidays.

·        Professional development and training opportunities.

·        A dynamic, inclusive work environment that encourages collaboration, innovation, and growth.
