Senior Cybersecurity Engineer
Skills
- 7+ years security engineering with production multi-account AWS and automation-first delivery.
- Proficiency with IaC (Terraform preferred) and Python for automation; CI/CD integration experience (GitHub Actions, GitLab, CodePipeline).
- Domain experience in at least three areas: network, endpoint, email, data, vulnerability, container, or identity security.
- Experience integrating telemetry and logging into SIEM/MDR and translating detection feedback into control improvements.
- Experience with asset/inventory management, vulnerability scanning, and risk-based remediation pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain security controls across AWS (IAM, KMS, VPC, GuardDuty, Security Hub, Detective, CloudTrail/CloudWatch) and enterprise domains (network, endpoint, email, data, vulnerability, identity).
- Define and instrument SLOs for control availability, latency, coverage, and drift and implement telemetry to continuously measure them.
- Build policy-as-code and IaC modules (Terraform/CloudFormation) and platform automations (Python/Lambda, Step Functions) to enforce guardrails and baseline hardening.
- Engineer data pipelines (CloudTrail, VPC Flow, ECS audit, identity logs) into SIEM/MDR tooling and tune schemas and ingestion quality.
- Own vulnerability scanner integrations, asset coverage, tagging standards, and risk-based remediation pipelines including auto-remediation for low-risk classes.
- Engineer least-privilege identity patterns, secrets/key lifecycle automation, and provide consumable roles/policies for teams.
- Maintain runbooks, design docs, reusable modules, peer-review processes, and participate in control/platform on-call rotations.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field preferred or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant industry certifications are a plus (e.g., AWS Security Specialty, CISSP, GIAC).
