Responsibilities
- Foster a high-trust team culture emphasizing transparency, accountability, ownership, and psychological safety
- Hire, develop, mentor, and retain software engineering and SRE talent
- Provide technical leadership and guidance for building robust, scalable system software
- Drive delivery of team and cross-org programs, prioritize initiatives to maximize impact
- Collaborate with cross-functional and senior stakeholders to align goals and objectives
- Develop and iterate on processes, frameworks, and success metrics to improve consistency and outcomes
- Establish SLOs, observability, incident learning and RCA practices to reduce toil and improve reliability
- Create clear strategies and plans to reduce ambiguity and improve system uptime and performance
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Physics, or related field or equivalent practical experience (required)
- MS or PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Quantum Information Science or related (preferred)
